Each compartment is enclosed via it’s own removable (if ever wanted) sliding door. Sliding doors are textured by hand cut vertical slatting. Each compartment is equipped with its own routed cord access channel, approximately 12”L x 1.5”t.
The cabinet’s lower half houses (3) drawers, approximately 21.5”W x 14”T x 15”D each. Hand-shaped handle recesses.
Pictures Cabinet sits atop our angular & tapering “Revisionist” base design, secured to our cabinet via sliding dovetail stretchers. Cabinet “floats” 1/8” above base via mentioned sliding dovetail stretchers.

I'd been looking for a credenza/sideboard that would fit my fine china, dining linens and crystal and that would also accomodate the mess of wires and cables that come with streaming/internet. My living room is narrow. It's the first room you see when you enter my townhome. So I wanted something chic, useful and sturdy.
West Elm, PB, and all the major American retailers that I shopped have flimsy furniture, sometimes stapled together and almost always made in Malaysia or China. So they've already been tossed about during shipping. If they are boxed upon delivery, chances are they haven't been inspected for damage. (Speaking from experience). Plus, not a single pieceI saw would fit my needs or my space. After shopping at several stores, online and outlets (even an Amish furniture store), I found The Timbered Wolf.
Fast forward to Christopher Dean and his designs. The Palisade reminded me of something my parents had back in the sixties. I loved the look and wanted to create some nostalgia surrounding my classic china and crystal. But the sizing was going to be tough/tall order. I wasn't sure if he would make it to the specifics I wanted. Well, I was wrong!!
Not only did Christopher accommodate all the size requests to the T, he also created a space for my router and the mess of wires, with a side vent and rear opening (for wall connection). He added beautiful felt to the soft-closing drawers where I keep my pricey, old Wedgewood china that gets very rarely used (once every 5 years or so), and my Waterford crystal. After having those precious items in storage for 3 years, they are finally with me.
I have received so many compliments from folks who recognize excellent craftsmanship. To say that Christopher has a unique talent that seemed lost to this century isn't enough. He clearly works with precision and pride. It was worth the wait. From start to finish it took a mere 6 months, inclusive of all the design edits that we made. I've waited longer fro couches from West Elm.
I could gush some more but would not be able to do his workmanship anymore justice with mere words. Suffice it to say that I am thrilled with this credenza which has become the favorite piece of furniture that I have ever owned.
We love the walnut cabinet engineered by Timbered Wolf. Communication was excellent and the product was exactly as promised. Custom building takes a little time so be patient.. highly recommended.
